Welcome to Line Dancing in The Villages!

Dancing on the Squares

Line dancers flock to the squares in The Villages to dance to favorite DJs and entertainers. When good line dance music is offered, two groups often will be dancing on the square.

At Spanish Springs Town Square, beginners usually dance on the Main Street side of the square, across from Church on the Square. Intermediates dance on the side of the square directly across from the Sales Center. Beginner Plus dancers typically switch between the two groups, depending on the dance.

At Lake Sumter Landing Market Square, beginners usually dance on the Canal Street side of the square, across from Urban Flats and Dominic's restaurants. Intermediates dance on the south side of the square, across from Starbucks and Johnny Rockets restaurant.  Beginner Plus dancers switch between the two groups, depending on the dance.

One or more of the volunteer line dance teachers in The Villages often participates with a beginner group and gives cues to remind dancers of the steps. Intermediates dance with the expectation that fellow dancers know the steps.

Everyone who knows the dance is welcome to participate.
