THURSDAY NIGHT CLASSES CANCELED ON FEB. 18
The line dance classes that meet on Thursday evenings at either Paradise or La Hacienda Recreation Centers (6:30-7:30 p.m. Beginner Plus and 7:30-8:30 p.m. Intermediate) will not meet on Feb. 18, March 11 or April 15.
ENJOY A LINE DANCE SOCIAL AT DANCING SHADOWS FEB. 20
Villages line dance instructor Carol Simmons will host a social at Dancing Shadows in Belleview on Saturday, Feb. 20. The venue sports a wood floor and is just minutes north of The Villages at 13405 S.E. Highway 484. Dancing is from 7-10 p.m. and includes old favorites and new dances. Requests are honored throughout the evening. Dancers may bring their beverages and snacks. Admission for dancers is $8 at the door. Non-dancing partners are welcome and are admitted free. Carol holds classes at Hibiscus and Pimlico Recreation Centers for residents of The Villages. She also teaches a class at Dancing Shadows from 3:15-5:30 p.m. on Friday ($5 per class), where everyone is welcome. Socials also are planned for March 20 and April 17.
SAIL THE WESTERN CARIBBEAN WITH JAN RAMSEY & SCOOTER THE DJ
Enjoy six nights on the Carnival Freedom Feb. 21-27 with country line dance instructor Jan Ramsey and Scooter the DJ. The ship sails from Fort Lauderdale, with ports of call in Key West, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The Freedom features a nine-deck high, glass-covered atrium, 22 lounges and bars, four swimming pools and a comprehensive golf program. FRIDAY CLASS CANCELLATIONS FEB. 26 AND MARCH 12
Classes that meet at La Hacienda Recreation Center (9:30-10:20 a.m. Beginner Plus and 10:25-11:20 a.m. Intermediate) will not be held on Friday, Feb. 26 or Friday, March 12.
CRUISE WITH NORMAN LEE AND LYDIA LE DUC ON THE EMERALD PRINCESS
Visit the Princess Cays, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Grand Turk on a seven-night cruise with entertainer Norman Lee and line dance instructor Lydia Le Duc aboard the beautiful Emerald Princess. MICHAEL BARR AND MICHELE BURTON TO TEACH AT LINE DANCE FESTIVAL MARCH 6
Internationally-known choregraphers and line dance instructors Michael Barr and Michele Burton will lead a line dance luau and workshop at Colony Cottage Recreation Center on Saturday, March 6. Their dances include American Pop, Divisadero Cha, Doors of Life, Fiona, Go Greased Lightning, Moootown Boogie, Rain Against My Window and Rumba Breeze. The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with dances for high beginners and intermediate dancers. A review of dances will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Open dancing with DJ Denny Rogers will follow from 8-11 p.m. All participants are invited to wear their luau attire for the evening festivities. Cost of the workshop is $30 for patrons of The Villages Lifelong Learning College, $35 for Villages residents and $40 for non-residents. The fee includes all classes, a box lunch and the evening dance. Registration is through the Lifelong Learning College. DON'T MISS THE LINE DANCE CONNECTION SOCIAL ON SUNDAY, MARCH 14
The Line Dance Connection invites Beginner Plus and Intermediate Village line dancers for an evening of dancing from 6-9 p.m. on March 14 at Mulberry Grove Recreation Center. The social will be hosted by instructor Lola Miller. There is no charge for the social, but dancers are encouraged to support a 50/50 drawing as proceeds help volunteer instructors offset music costs and other expenses. GIGGLES & SHAKES TO HOST LINE DANCE PARTY ON SUNDAY, MARCH 14
DJ Denny Rogers will spin the tunes for favorite line dances from Giggles & Shakes classes in The Villages from 7-10 p.m. at Lake Miona Recreation Center. Tickets are $8 for residents and $10 for guests of residents, available at The Villages Box Office.

TOUR THE GREEK ISLES IN OCTOBER WITH KIP SWEENY
